The customer needed to replace aging transporters that struggled to handle extreme die weights without stressing the facility’s flooring or risking operator safety. Align’s engineering team developed a solution: a heavy-duty transporter that manages intense loads while maintaining structural and operator protection.

The transporter features a wide wheelbase and multiple idler wheels to evenly distribute weight and protect floor integrity. Designed for remote operation and future AGV upgrades, the unit also integrates a suite of safety features, including:
- Directional and perimeter lighting to enhance visibility.
- Programmable safety scanners that stop motion if a person or object enters the zone.
- Slipknot non-slip deck surface to prevent die shifting.
- Spring-loaded top deck to cushion die placement and extend equipment life.
- Slide-out battery trays for quick, safe maintenance.

Since implementation, the transporter has improved operator confidence, workplace safety, and productivity. The design prevents floor overload while keeping the load stable during transport. The customer experiences precise die placement and reduced injury risk, while making it easier to move heavy loads.
